Background of Presenter:Wayne Jacoby is a former US History teacher and co-founder of Global Education Motivators. As a co-founder of GEM he has been very active in promoting a better understanding of world interdependence. Detailed Description of Program: Learn how the Founding Fathers of the United States experienced and adapted to the changing world of economics and politics in the 1776-1800 time period. Get a better understanding of how the changing world of the Industrial Revolution brought new interdependent thinking into our social, political and military endeavors.
Learn how the seeds of interdependence were planted by our Founding Fathers as they experienced living as an independent nation under the Articles of Confederation and moved to the interdependent concepts found in the US Constitution. See how the new government in the 1790-1800 time period dealt with this changing world. The program can be customized to teach interdependence through 1776-1800 curriculum guidelines.
