GEM Celebrates 25 Years!

25th Anniversary Celebration!

July 2006 brought GEM into its 25th year.  It does not seem possible, but it is true.  GEM is now educating a second generation.

From GEM’s incorpration in July of 1981 by Barbara Bates, Cora Lee Phillippi, Pat Rhoads  and Wayne Jacoby, educators at Springfield HS in Erdenheim, PA (USA), GEM has evolved into its current status of “bringing the world into the classroom” through distance learning applications and more.  GEM invites you to come and meet old friends and co-workers as well as the current generation that is doing their best to help make the next generation more aware and responsible in a world that we all share.

If you have had any past association with GEM throughout its history, from being a member of the board of directors, advisory board, a staff person, volunteer, etc., we would very much like you to hear from you!

GEM would very much like to hear from you and would like to know more about you and others that we have lost contact with over time.  We know we have lost several important GEMs over the years.  Barbara Bates, Ken Schmidt and Marvin Wasser are three GEMs that have left us.

If you know of others with past connections to GEM, please let them know of our developing plans and have them contact us.

                                                           Best Regards,

                                                           Wayne Jacoby
