Intermediate Unit 13

The Conference Center at IU 13 is an ideal facility for any business seminar, training or small- to medium-sized conference. This newley renovated site offers state–of–the–art technology such as videoconferencing, projection systems, webcasting, and Wi-Fi access.

 Conference Center

Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 (IU 13), one of 29 intermediate units across Pennsylvania, is a regional educational agency whose mission is to assist local school districts to enhance educational opportunities by providing quality, cost-effective services. IU 13 is a leader in recognizing the needs of schools and in implementing programs to meet those needs.

Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 regular workforce includes over 1,300 full-time and part-time employees plus approximately 300 substitutes and seasonal employees. It serves the 22 school districts in Lancaster and Lebanon counties as well as students in nonpublic schools, preschoolers, and adult learners.

Student Programs
IU 13 provides programs for students in public and nonpublic schools throughout Lancaster and Lebanon counties. A variety of regular and special education classes and support services are available for children and youth ages 3 to 21.

IU 13 Staff Development
Program development is a major focus area of the staff development team at IU 13. Professional development initiatives, seminars, workshops, continuing education courses and other activities are available to local administrators, teachers, parents, agency personnel and community members, as well as consultative support and technical assistance through IDEA’s Training and Consultation System (TaCS). On-site program and staff development through customized training and technical assistance allows the Intermediate Unit to provide services that are specific to a particular district’s needs.

Business Services is a support team dedicated to identifying, understanding and meeting the emerging needs of our customers--IU employees, school districts, and other educational/service agencies--in an effort to assist them in providing unique, quality services and programs for children and adult learners.

We endeavor to provide courteous, accurate, cost-effective, efficient and innovative services while maintaining the highest possible standards and ethics.
