MYX: Multicultural Youth eXchange is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization. Our mission is to facilitate cross-cultural communication among youth within our community and around the world, through technology and the arts. MYX was formed in direct response to the tragedies of September 11, 2001. These events and the aftermath had roots in cultural bias.
In order to reduce the chances of further atrocities and improve the chances of pluralism and tolerance, MYX believes it is more crucial than ever to increase understanding among diverse communities. The path to achieving this goal is enlightening young minds to the fundamental common interests that all humans share. In short, MYX believes that cross-cultural communication among youth is the hope for a future society free of intolerance. |
