Global Education Motivators Presents: 10th Annual United Nations Day 2006Making a Pledge for the Future Recognizing the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
Where: Chestnut Hill College When: Monday, October 30th Time: 10:00AM – 2:00PM Focus Groups: Grades 8-12 Limited to: 450 Students Keynote Speaker: Carol Bellamy, CEO World Learning Background: Carol Bellamy, former Executive Director of UNICEF and current CEO of World Learning, will interact with secondary school students in Sorgenti Arena at Chestnut Hill College to encourage their involvement in supporting the human rights of persons with disabilities. In small group sessions, students will be prepared to move from “words to deeds” and participate at various levels in the December UN Student Conference on Human Rights. Sub Themes Addressed: Accessibility, Children, Education, Employment, Gender, Human Diversity, Independence, Non-Discrimination, Poverty, Sports +++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Cost: $20 per student (includes resources and lunch as well as no cost involvement in all follow-up programs including all international and regional leadership work) +++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++
