Meet us at the United Nations to: - better understand the role of the United Nations in an interdependent world - become more aware of the Millennium Development Goals - discuss with UN personnel your thoughts about the future - tour the United Nations Number of Participants: Maximum 400 Students Purpose: - to become more aware of the importance of the United Nations
- to see the interconnectedness of the Millennium Development Goals
- meet and interact with students from other schools
- hear speakers who have been working on the achievement of the MDGs.
- become proactive with respect to finding long-term solutions to global problems
This conference is open to students between grades 8 – 12. Student groups must be accompanied by a teacher/chaperone. Schools provide their own transportation to the United Nations.
