Awakening Global Responsibility: A Call to Sustainable Democracy

For our first Town Square event, the Academy was host to the 3rd Youth Leadership Forum, featuring a distinguished panel of speakers including the world famous wildlife expert Dr. Jane Goodall. Over 400 students and educators attended the forum to consider the theme "Awakening Global Awareness." Six remote sites in Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Czech Republic, and the United States participated in the event.

In addition to Dr. Goodall, the May 14th event included Haverford College Philosophy Professor Ashok Gangadean and Global Security Institute President Jonathon Granoff, along with representatives of Dr. Goodall's Roots & Shoots program and from City Year Greater Philadelphia.
