United Nations in Your World
Structured or customized, resource supported, programs from the UN. Choose from topics such as: the Environment, Health, Human Rights, International Law, Model UN, Peace & Security, Peacekeeping, Poverty, Rights of Children, Sustainable Development, The UN, & War Affected Children

Grades: 8-12
Cost: $50-$75

From Words to Deeds
Topic: Education for All
Help move students from awareness to human rights action in support of the International Year for Global Literacy. Involvement by 11/19/03 will include an invitation for a no-cost participation in the United Nations Student Human Rights Videoconference on December 5th; a Human Rights Day celebration and interaction with young people to discuss their work and make a youth statement to the world on this theme.
Grades : 5-12

UN/Global Issues
Three separate in depth classroom oriented looks at important global issues confronting yound people. Each on includes resource materials and is hosted at the United Nation with UN experts teaching the class.

A. Causes and Soultion to Environmental Problems (UNEP) 

B. Peace & Security throughDisarmament(UN/DDA)

C. Human Rights and You (UN/HCHR)

Grades: 8-12
Cost: $150 for each series

The UN in a Troubled World
A four part international series with the UN that explores the work of the UN in today's world and looks into the future.

A. Terrorism vs Democracy-November 10th
B. War Affected Children-January 12th
C. Working Towards the Millennium Development Goals-March 8th
D. Water and Human Development-May 10th

Grades 8-12
Series $200
Individual $75

 African Perspective Programs
Classroom programs with African nationals on African history and culture. Offerings include structured programs as well as customized ones.

Grades: 5-12
Cost: $100 per class

GEMSTONES
As "rock detectives" students get a global perspective of Planet Earth. May involve cross cultural experience.

Grades: 4-12
Cost: $250 for 2 hrs. (includes kit)

From Independence to Interdependence
This 45 minute interactive power point program uses our Founding Fathers as the basis for teaching about interdependence. It helps students understand the concept of interdependence through their own history.

Grades: 8-12
Cost: $75

Globalization & Democracy
A series on the importance of developing and sustaining democracies in an interdependent world.
