Speaker: William Yotive, (confirmed) Project Manager, Global Teaching and Learning Project in UN Department of Public Information
Background on Presenter: From Sesame Street to the UN CyberSchoolBus, Willliam Yotive uses modern technology to educate children around the world. The UN CyberSchoolBus is the official UN site for schools. They create curriculum for teachers and materials directly for students about the UN and its member states. The UN CyberSchoolBus is the host site for Chat Forums and Video Chats for the UN Student Conference on Human Rights.
Program: Secondary school students will meet at St. Joseph High School to work together in support of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Students develop a declaration by working in groups based on sub-themes: Global Climate Change and Equality; Global Climate Change and the Right to Life; Global Climate Change and Slavery; Global Climate Change and Economic and Social Rights; Global Climate Change and the Right to Education; and Global Climate Change and Cultural Rights.
