When: December 8, 2014

Who: Students ages 14-19 (grades 8-12)

Where: United Nations Headquarters, Dag Hammarskjold Auditorium

Whole classes can attend this opening program on December 8 in the Dag Hammarskjold Auditorium. These students will hear from UN officials, Youth Volunteers, and Volunteer Organizations on how they can make the world a better place through volunteerism.

9:15AM -   Arrival at the United Nations

9:30AM -   Enter UN and Go to Daj Hammarskjold Auditorium

9:45AM -  Session 1
               Panel on Volunteerism and Human Rights

10:45AM - Session 2 -
               Panel of Youth Volunteers and Cultural Presentations

12:00PM - Lunch

1:00PM -  Session 3
              Volunteer Fair - Panel of Volunteer Organizations

2:30PM -  End of Panels

3:00PM -  Optional UN Tour (additional fee)
